Ronni’s law practice focuses on acquisition, adjudication, permitting, protection and administration of surface water rights including recreational in-channel diversion water rights, as well as tributary groundwater rights and nontributary groundwater rights. Ronni represents municipal and special district water suppliers, private water users and suppliers, and agricultural water users. Ronni has substantial transactional experience, including water rights title examination, and substantial litigation experience, including before the Colorado Water Courts, the Colorado Supreme Court and the Colorado Court of Appeals. Ronni’s administrative agency and legislative experience includes participation in rulemaking and adjudicatory hearings before the State Engineer, the Colorado Water Quality Control Commission and the Colorado Water Conservation Board, and testimony before committees of the Colorado General Assembly. Ronni has also participated in 1041 hearings in Park and Elbert Counties on behalf of local governments.
